A few years ago, we were so excited about discovering an oil expressed from the macerated seeds of a wild rose growing only in the Chilean Andes.  Rosa Mosqueta (or Rosa Moschata) oil, as it is known by the locals, has been used by the indigenous population for all kinds of skin problems related to ageing.  

The secret of this oil, we learned, is its high percentage of essential fatty acids combined with a Retinol-like component called Tretinoin which targets the skin's collagen (collagen gives your skin its elasticity and ‘springiness' and deteriorates as you get older).

So, intrigued by the claims made for this rare golden oil, we couldn't wait to test it out.
